THE FOUNDERS

Ray

Owner, Remodeling Lead PM

Ray Erickson has been in the building trades for over 50 years. He started R&B Homes in 2003 and is highly skilled in all aspects of carpentry. He is licensed in MN and stays current with changing codes and practices through yearly CE classes, giving him the leadership qualities needed in today’s market. He is experienced in all aspects of framing, building, trimming, remodel and repair, extensive bathroom renovations, handicap accessible projects, decks, additions, you name it!

Ray now manages the business portion of R&B Homes. With his and Ben’s experience and skills there are few, if any, projects that R&B Homes will not tackle.

Our motto, “Building With Excellence and Integrity” says who we are!

On a personal note, Ray loves hunting, fishing and camping. He has used his skills in a number of other countries, building churches, schools and various other projects. He and his wife have been in Prison Ministry since 1980, currently volunteering at four MN Correctional Facilities, encouraging and teaching life values using the Bible as their text book/manual. They have been married 50+ years and have four adult children and 11 grandchildren with whom they love spending time. Ray considers himself a blessed man.

Ben

Owner, New Home Development

Ben Erickson started learning the building trades in his childhood, under the watchful eye of his father, beginning with the menial tasks i.e. cleaning up the job sites, hauling lumber, etc. eventually learning framing and siding. He has worked with various other framing contractors, broadening his building skills.

Over 30 years of experience in the construction industry in residential framing and remodeling allows Ben a complete understanding of the construction process, joining the old-school training and modern technology that is necessary in today’s remodeling industry.

Ben partners with Ray in R&B Homes, co-ordinating the day to day duties of the field as he observes the strengths of the crewmen and promotes positive teamwork, making our projects a success.. Ben compliments the R&B vision of “Building With Excellence and Integrity.” He claims he cannot imagine doing anything else!

Ben is an avid outdoorsman and in his spare time loves camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and spending time with his wife and two children.

James

Lead Sales, Design

James Dill has lived and worked in the Minneapolis area for the last 20 years. He started in the trades by training in as a painter and quickly began a painting service company that lasted about 12 years. After hanging up the Roller, James went From painting to being a partner in a local Construction company. Whether it was painting or Construction James specialized in high quality finishing and custom remodeling and is passionate about connecting with clients. James has an eye for quality and design and always works to deliver a top quality product to our client family.

As our Lead Salesman and Project Designer James likes to work with our clients from a team approach. R&B Homes first goal is to give the client what they desire while keeping their best interests in mind. We are not into high pressure sales or pushing the client around, and James likes to demonstrate this by focusing on what is best for our client in their situation.

James lives a life of faith along with his amazing wife and son. A retired basketball player, he now enjoys mountain biking and spending time with family and friends. James also enjoys teaching and leading a faith based men's group and working along side ministries where needed.
